Ramu, a young boy who lives in a small house in the old city rides his bicycle to the Jal Mahal He comes here every morning shows tourists the mesmerizing view of the Jal Mahal and earns some money Today the sky is lightly cloudy and the reflection of the palace is waving inthe Man Sagar Lake

he tourist, whose name is Elizabeth smiles and tells him she is from London She is very impressed by the historical sites and culture of Jaipur Ramu tells her about the history of the Jal Mahal and then takes her to the Hawa Mahal

The Hawa Mahal with its intricate latticed windows and pink coloured stones offers a wonderful view Elizabeth is mesmerized by the palace s architecture Ramu tells her that these windows were built for the royal women so that they could watch the city s activities without being seen

By afternoon Elizabeth starts feeling hungry Ramu takes her to a local dhaba where they enjoy dal baati churma and lassi Elizabeth loves the Rajasthani food

 In the evening Ramu takes Elizabeth to Johri Bazaar where she sees colourful clothes jewellery and handicrafts Elizabeth buys some souvenirs and thanks Ramu

At sunset Ramu takes Elizabeth to 

Nahargarh Fort from where there is a panoramic view of the entire city of Jaipur The city lights are twinkling and the stars are shining in the sky

Elizabeth thanks Ramu and says that this was one of her most memorable trips Ramu smiles and says Padhaaro sa Jaipur will always welcome you


Ramu rides his bicycle back home Today he 

not only earned some money, but also made a new friend He feels proud that he was able to share the beauty and culture of his city with the world The night of Jaipur covered in a blanket of stars looks calm and beautiful
